Information for Authors

Authors are invited to submit their contributions electronically as full papers or posters. Submissions may be assigned to special themes or the general conference.

Submissions will be peer reviewed by the International Program Committee and selected on the basis of quality and relevance to the topics of the conference. All submissions will be rigorously reviewed to comply with IEEE requirements (or similar requirements for creativity themes).

Authors should indicate a preference for oral or poster presentation in case of acceptance however; the final decision on the presentation format will be decided by the technical program committee. All submissions will be made through ICE-GIC09 site on Easy Chair web-based system. Acceptance notification will contain instructions for final paper preparation.

Registration and attendance of at least one author is required for inclusion of the publication in the conference proceedings.

Format

Papers: Papers are expected to be approximately 8-15 pages in length but this guideline is not strict. All papers will be published on the conference proceeding and IEEE Xplore and a selection of the papers will appear in the special issue of IEEE transactions on Consumer Electronics.

Abstracts/System Demonstrations/Panel discussions: Authors can also submit abstracts of up to 1000 words (3-4 pages). People who wish to give a talk (e.g. practitioners, researchers with preliminary or incomplete papers) but do not want to submit a full paper can submit under this category. For system demonstrations and panel discussions authors are required to submit an abstract. Authors of accepted submissions in system demonstration category would be expected to provide a demonstration of their software during the conference. Panel discussions are for 50 minutes and will normally include 4-5 experts. The accepted abstracts will appear in the conference proceedings. Authors of accepted abstracts will have the opportunity to write a full paper based on their abstract and submit it for the selected papers volume.

Authors are required to prepare their paper/abstract using Microsoft Word or Latex using IEEE conference templates at IEEE website and submit it to EasyChair web site. Please use IEEE PDF eXpress service to submit your publication in PDF format at http://www.pdf-express.org/log.asp. You could validate or create your pdf file with PDF eXpress. The conference ID is icegic09x. Please use this code to register yourself as a new user here. Follow the steps for uploading your article and producing a PDF version of your article which is compatible with the latest IEEE Xplore PDF Specification.

Authors of accepted papers are required to submit the IEEE copyright form (word or pdf format) with their final submission to Easy Chair.
