The 2011 International
Games Innovations Conference (IGIC) will be held November
2–4, 2011 at Chapman
University in Orange, California. Chapman University is
in Orange County near Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. The 2011
conference continues the tradition of annual conference
focusing on the latest developments in game technology and
developments that began in London in 2009 and continued
in Hong Kong in 2010.
Trip Hawkins, founder of Electronic
Arts, 3DO and Digital Chocolate, will be the Opening Keynote
Speaker.
Other distinguished keynote speakers include Robert J. Mical
of Sony, a pioneer in the video game industry, and Craig
Hampel, a Rambus’ fellow and distinguished inventor.
Rambus Inc., is the first industry sponsor with proactive
financial and technical leadership support.
Early November is a beautiful time to visit Southern California.
The weather is usually very moderate and the beaches are
mostly empty of the Summer tourists.
The 2011 IGIC conference will be a platform for disseminating
peerreviewed papers, state-of-the-art demonstrations and
special industry oriented sessions that describe innovative
research and development of hardware and software game technologies.
Participation from industry, academia and government are
welcome.
